The History of the District Court Horana

Horana District Court is located in a serene, dignified and naturally beautiful envirionment. The court complex is situated at B.D.L. Gunasekara Mawatha , Horana and was officially established on 2007.01.13. The Horana court complex consists of two courts: the District Court Horana and the Magistrate Court. Since its establishment, eleven judges have served at the Horana District Court. In addition to the Courts, Horana court complex accommodates several institutions including the Department of Community based Corrections Regional Office , Probation Office (Department of Probation & Child Care Service Western Province) , and office of Legal Aid Commission of Sri Lanka.
